New Exclusive European Partnership with the Broadsound Corporation for UT Pulser Receiver Range.
Baugh and Weedon are pleased to announce that we are now the exclusive European Distributor for the Broadsound 6006 Ultrasonic Pulser Receiver range, from the Taiwanese medical ultrasound company the Broadsound Corporation.
Broadsound Pulser/Receivers are computer controlled ultrasonic pulser/receivers, which can be used in a variety of applications, such as the transducer characterisation, research and development of ultrasonic non-destructive testing, material characterisation and biomedical research; ideal for Universities, Research Institutes, UT probe manufacturers.
Pulser-receivers (also referred to as pulser/receivers) generate ultrasonic pulses, which are propagated into materials for nondestructive testing (NDT). Pulser-receivers function in a number of specified modes that help to determine how they generate pulses. The two most common modal types for pulsers and receivers are pulse / echo and through-transmission. In pulse-echo mode, the transmitting transducer receives the echoes that are reflected back from the interface. In through-transmission mode a second transducer is used to receive and convert the ultrasonic pulse.
Pulser-receivers are used in material characterisation work measuring sound velocity or attenuation, which in turn can be correlated to such material properties as elastic modulus or grain orientation. In conjunction with a step-less gate and a spectrum analyser, pulser-receivers can also be used to study frequency dependent material properties or to characterise the performance of ultrasonic transducers.
The European platform for the release of the Broadsound 6006 range will be at the Control International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance, held in Stuttgart, 3rd-6th May 2022.
